FLINT AND FUEL PHOTOGRAPHY

Wedding Photography for couples who want to feel their day, not perform it

Quiet, intentional wedding photographer in Pretoria that captures the atmosphere, emotion, and in-between moments as they truly unfold.

Currently booking a limited number of weddings.

“Cornelius was simply incredible. He was professional and had a great energy that made everyone feel comfortable. The photos are works of art—he captured not just moments, but the true emotions of the day. If you want a photographer who goes above and beyond, we highly recommend him. Thanks Cornelius, jy was n champ!”

You want to remember how it felt

Most wedding photography is built around timelines, poses, and control.
That works for some people.

My work is built around attention.

I move gently through the day, noticing what matters while it’s happening.
The small exchanges. The pauses. The things you didn’t plan, but will later recognise as the heart of it all.

The result is not a highlight reel.
It’s a record that feels honest when you return to it years from now.

“Cornelius had us at ease from the first moment before the lens. He made the day very enjoyable and we really enjoyed the creativity of taking pictures in nature. He was able to capture all the special moments of the day. A bride can be very tense that day, but he handled everything just stress-free, and I was able to relax in front of the lens.”

Who this is for (and isn’t)

This approach is a good fit if you value:

  • Presence over performance
  • Trust over direction
  • Atmosphere over spectacle
  • Meaning over perfection

It may not be the right fit if you’re looking for heavily styled imagery, constant posing, or a highly produced aesthetic.

Both are valid. This work simply chooses one side clearly.

“Friendly and the best pictures ever!!! With Flint and Fuel Creative, transform all your memories into the most beautiful art.”

How working together feels

Before the day

We keep things simple. A short conversation to understand what matters to you, how your day flows, and where you want space rather than attention.

On the day

I work quietly and unobtrusively. I won’t pull you out of moments or manufacture reactions. You’ll mostly forget I’m there.

After

You receive a carefully curated, professionally edited gallery that reflects the emotional rhythm of the day, not just the highlights.

“Beautiful photos and excellent service. Thank you.”

Photographer smiling in late morning

I photograph a small number of weddings each year by design.
This allows me to be fully present, selective, and personally involved in every project I take on.

Trends move quickly.
Meaning doesn’t.

The aim is not images that impress today, but photographs that still feel true when the day itself has softened with time.

This perspective comes from years of working with people in unscripted, real-world environments, where presence matters more than performance.

If that matters to you, we’ll likely work well together.

If you’re planning something memorable and would like to start a conversation,
you can contact me directly.

I read and respond to every message personally.
